“ Update: So My son and I return a year or so later. Adam, the owner/bartender remembers us immediately, a mutual friend of ours Dan/Cuba just happens to be here, we run into a guy from Atlanta (forgive me friend for not remembering your name) and a "regular" we also met here last year, talk about coincidence. Hanging out at Local 42 has proven to be a lot more fun than the shows we've been going to lately. I can't say enough about this place, my favorite place in the area, order a Pepperoni pizza and if you are into bourbons, this is your place. Thanks Adam, we should be back in a few weeks for a Fixx show. My son and I randomly walked in and we are sure glad we did. We immediately felt welcomed and right at home. Cheap cold beer, great food, excellent service. The place is incredibly clean, with a dive bar vibe. We met a lot of great folks, locals and tourists alike, including Adam the owner, who was fun to talk to. We actually returned again after our show at the Palladium before we caught the bus back home. We will certainly be back! Loved everything about Local 42. ”

“ Extremely inviting and cool place to have a drink, food, and pizza in the heart of NYC. We had the Local 42 Draft beer for 4.00 which you can't beat the taste or the price. Topped it off with Jerk Wings and Pizza which were amazing. There really is no better place for that combination in town. There's a ton of drink options, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious. Bonus we played songs from their jukebox which you connect with an app. If you are looking for a welcoming bar, with a wide variety of drinks and food this is the place. ”
